State
Fair: The
State Fair Apple, Malus 'State Fair', has a
flavor that is sprightly tart and good for
eating and baking. |

Wealthy:
The Wealthy Apple, Malus 'Wealthy', is the
first commercial apple variety developed in
Minnesota. It produces striped red fruit with
a tart balanced flavor. This is a
multi-purpose apple, but it is especially good
for cooking, such as pies, sauces and juices. |

Zestar: The Zestar
Apple, Malus 'Zestar' has a crisp white grainy flesh that provides a slightly tart but sweet and tangy tasting fruit. The sweet spicy flavor of this apple makes it excellent for snacking, as well as for baking pies, bars and sauces. |

Haralson:
The Haralson Apple, Malus 'Haralson', has medium to large
golden to greenish fruit with a very smooth
finish and reddish bronze blush. Red in color
and large, moderately conspicuous dots. They are crisp and juicy, having a
tart flavor. They are good for eating,
cooking, and are an excellent choice for pies. |

Honeycrisp:
The
Honeycrisp Apple, Malus
'Honeycrisp', has a crisp and juicy texture. Its
flesh is cream colored and coarse. The flavor
is sub-acid and ranges from mild and
well-balanced to strongly aromatic, depending
on the degree of maturity. Great eating apple
with its sub-acid flavor. |

McIntosh: The McIntosh
Apples, Malus 'McIntosh', are crisp and somewhat firm with a mainly sweet taste. The McIntosh is a popular apple used for eating, cooking, cider and sauce. |

Sweet
16: The Sweet 16 (or Sweet
Sixteen), Malus 'Sweet 16', has cream
colored flesh, unique pleasing flavor,
high sugar, moderate acid, aromatic,
trace of nutty flavor. Flesh is crisp
and firm, good storage, handling and
cooking. |

Connell
Red: Connell
Red Apple, Malus 'Connell Red', is a red
blush mutation of Fireside apple.
Similar to Fireside except that it has
more intense red color. It is hardy, a
heavy bearer, and excellent for eating
or cooking with a distinctive flavor.
Connell Red is good for fresh eating,
salads and baked apples. |

Fireside: The Fireside
Apple, Malus 'Fireside', has flesh which is yellowish but firm and a flavor that is mild and somewhat sweet.
It has small, russet dots with medium tough skin. Its medium red color is lightly striped or splashed with dark red covering.
Fireside is good for
fresh eating, salads and baking. |

Honeygold:
The Honeygold, Malus 'Honeygold', is a cross between Golden Delicious for color and flavor, and Haralson for hardiness. It is a golden yellow apple with a red blush.
It is
sweet, crisp and juicy. Excellent for fresh eating and also good for cooking. |

Red Regent: The
Red Regent Apple, Malus 'Red Regent', produces
medium to large red apples with a fresh flesh
that is juicy and crisp. This appealing
red-striped apple has a flavor that is an
outstanding balance of sweet and tart. Its
well balanced flavor makes it excellent for
fresh eating and cooking. |
